{"id":30866,"date":"2026-05-27T15:52:16","date_gmt":"2026-05-27T15:52:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trendifyhubusa.com\/index.php\/2026\/05\/27\/mobland-mess-tom-hardy-refused-to-come-out-of-trailer\/"},"modified":"2026-05-27T15:52:16","modified_gmt":"2026-05-27T15:52:16","slug":"mobland-mess-tom-hardy-refused-to-come-out-of-trailer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trendifyhubusa.com\/index.php\/2026\/05\/27\/mobland-mess-tom-hardy-refused-to-come-out-of-trailer\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;MobLand&#8217; Mess: Tom Hardy &#8216;Refused&#8217; to Come Out of Trailer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tIt\u2019s a <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/mobland\/\" id=\"auto-tag_mobland_1\" data-tag=\"mobland\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MobLand<\/a> <\/em>mess.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/tom-hardy\/\" id=\"auto-tag_tom-hardy_1\" data-tag=\"tom-hardy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tom Hardy<\/a> has been making headlines over the past week after reportedly being fired from the hit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/paramount-2\/\" id=\"auto-tag_paramount-2_1\" data-tag=\"paramount-2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paramount+<\/a> series (though <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-news\/tom-hardy-mobland-future-1236604266\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a source who spoke to <em>The Hollywood Reporter<\/em><\/a> says the British star\u2019s fate is yet to be decided).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tHardy has been clashing with producers, <em>THR<\/em> confirmed, including executive producer Jez Butterworth and others at David Glasser\u2019s 101 Studios, the production company behind <em>MobLand<\/em>, which is filmed across the U.K.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tMuch of this irresolution stems from the fact that the streamer has not yet officially renewed the show for a third season \u2014\u00a0another source close to production tells <em>THR <\/em>that filming on season three, if greenlit, is tentatively scheduled to begin in September this year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cHe refused to come out of his trailer for hours at a time,\u201d the source says about Hardy\u2019s on-set behavior on season two, which has spooked producers into rethinking Hardy\u2019s future. The source adds: \u201cHe kept the cast waiting, [which is] a power play. Keeping <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/pierce-brosnan\/\" id=\"auto-tag_pierce-brosnan_1\" data-tag=\"pierce-brosnan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pierce Brosnan<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/helen-mirren\/\" id=\"auto-tag_helen-mirren_1\" data-tag=\"helen-mirren\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Helen Mirren<\/a> and others waiting is career suicide, I would wager.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tIn <em>MobLand<\/em>, co-directed by Guy Ritchie, Hardy plays Harry Da Souza, a fixer for the Harrigan crime family led by patriarch Conrad (Brosnan) and matriarch Maeve (Mirren). Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Jasmine Jobson, Mandeep Dhillon, Geoff Bell, Daniel Betts, Janet McTeer, Jordi Moll\u00e0 and Toby Jones star in supporting roles.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tIt remains unclear exactly what keeps Hardy confined to his <em>MobLand <\/em>trailer. A <em><a href=\"https:\/\/puck.news\/newsletter_content\/what-im-hearing-paramounts-firing-finchers-deal-the-five-year-clip-show\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Puck News<\/a><\/em> story reported that Hardy was also attempting to alter dialogue and provide script notes to Butterworth and creator Ronan Bennett. Clashes with A-listers such as Brosnan and Mirren, however, do not help Hardy\u2019s reputation for being infamously tricky to work with.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe information provided to <em>The Hollywood Reporter <\/em>about the <em>MobLand <\/em>situation aligns with the testimony of <em>Mad Max: Fury Road <\/em>director George Miller, who spoke to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/films\/2024\/05\/11\/tom-hardy-george-miller-mad-max-furiosa-interview\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><em>The Telegraph <\/em>in 2024<\/a> about Hardy\u2019s head-butting with co-star Charlize Theron: \u201c[They\u2019re] two very different performers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cTom has a damage to him but also a brilliance that comes with it, and whatever was going on with him at the time, he had to be coaxed out of his trailer,\u201d Miller said. \u201cWhereas Charlize was incredibly disciplined \u2014 a dancer by training, which told in the precision of her performance \u2014 and always the first one on set \u2026 I\u2019m an optimist, so I saw their behavior as mirroring their characters, where they had to learn to cooperate in order to ensure mutual survival,\u201d Miller continued. \u201cThere\u2019s no excuse for it, and I think there\u2019s a tendency in this business to use great performances as an excuse for other disruption that could be avoided.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<em>THR <\/em>did not hear back from Hardy\u2019s team or a rep for Mirren when reaching out for comment. Brosnan is apparently traveling and unreachable. We\u2019ve also asked for an update from Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios. A release date for season two of <em>MobLand <\/em>has not been announced, but <em>THR <\/em>took a deep dive into what to do with Hardy\u2019s character moving forward <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-news\/will-mobland-kill-recast-tom-hardy-exit-1236604818\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tPatrick Stewart is also among those to have publicly discussed working with a withdrawn Hardy, who has also starred in <em>The Dark Knight <\/em>trilogy, <em>Peaky Blinders <\/em>and the <em>Venom <\/em>films. \u201cI didn\u2019t have a single exciting scene to play, and the actor who portrayed the movie\u2019s villain, Shinzon, was an odd, solitary young man from London.
