Activision is planning to drop support for PS4 and Xbox One consoles in Call of Duty: Warzone<\/em> later this year. Players will need to upgrade to a PS5 or Xbox Series S \/ X console to continue playing Call of Duty: Warzone<\/em> once season 6 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7<\/em> finishes later this year.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Call of Duty: Warzone<\/em> will be removed<\/a> from PS4 and Xbox One storefronts on June 4th and will no longer be available to download. Activision will then remove the in-game store in Warzone <\/em>on PS4 and Xbox One on June 25th, and the game won\u2019t be playable once Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4<\/em> season 1 begins later this year.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The timing couldn\u2019t be worse<\/a> for Warzone <\/em>players still holding on to older consoles, as both Microsoft<\/a> and Sony<\/a> have increased the prices of their consoles over the past year. Both the PS5 and Xbox Series X are $150 more than their original $499 launch prices.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Activision announced the changes to Warzone <\/em>support on the same day it announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4<\/em><\/a> for current generation consoles. Modern Warfare 4<\/em> will be available on the PS5 and Xbox Series S\/X consoles, as well as Nintendo\u2019s Switch 2.
