In a spree of posts made to his Truth Social account on Saturday, Donald Trump lauded his administration\u2019s efforts to turn the National Mall\u2019s reflecting pool blue<\/a>, denounced a judge\u2019s ruling removing his name from the Kennedy Center<\/a> and announced he will hold an \u201cAmerica Is Back\u201d rally next month to replace a concert series after a number of performers backed out<\/a>.<\/p>\n After arriving at the Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia, at 11.08am, Trump posted to his social media platform 25 times in the next two hours. The president\u2019s posts included a series of apparently AI-generated images, including one of him playing for the New York Knicks and dunking over New York\u2019s governor, Kathy Hochul; another of him riding a horse alongside George Washington and a Trump-branded race car tearing up the White House lawn; and one depicting the \u201cObama presidential library\u201d as a huge garbage can holding a giant trash bag.<\/p>\n In two lengthy posts, Trump decried the musical artists who backed out of a summer concert series planned to celebrate the United States\u2019s 250th anniversary, and a judge\u2019s ruling finding that the Kennedy Center memorial cannot be renamed for Trump without an act of Congress.<\/p>\n \u201cI understand Artists are getting \u2018the yips\u2019 having to do with their performance on Wednesday, so I am thinking about bringing the Number One Attraction anywhere in the World, the man who gets much larger audiences than Elvis in his prime, and he does so without a guitar, the man who loves our Country more than anyone else, and the man who some say is the Greatest President in History (THE GOAT!), DONALD J TRUMP, to take the place of these highly paid, Third Rate \u2018Artists,\u2019 and give a major speech, rallying the Country forward like I have done ever since being President!\u201d Trump wrote.<\/p>\n The president appeared to be referring to the concert series announced<\/a> last Wednesday, which lost seven of its nine featured musical acts within 48 hours, but since none of the shows was scheduled for next Wednesday, his meaning was difficult to parse.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for Freedom 250, the organization Trump created to run celebrations of the nation\u2019s founding, contacted the Guardian later to say that the Wednesday in question is one next month, 24 June, when the president \u201cwill personally kick off this historic celebration\u201d at a previously unscheduled \u201copening ceremony\u201d for a 16-day fair on the National Mall. The fair was to have started a day later, on 25 June, with a concert by Martina McBride. The country star announced on Thursday that she would not perform, because, although she had been \u201cassured this was a nonpartisan event\u201d, that \u201cturned out to be misleading\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t want so-called \u2018Artists\u2019 that get paid far too much money, who aren\u2019t happy,\u201d the president added. \u201cI only want to be surrounded by Happy People, Smart People, Successful People, and People that know how to WIN. Will be wild!\u201d<\/p>\n After leaving his golf course later in the day, Trump resumed his social media posting spree and returned to the subject of replacing the concert series with a partisan rally.<\/p>\n \u201cWe should have a giant MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN RALLY, for 250, instead of having overpriced singers, who nobody wants to hear, whose music is boring, and yet who do nothing but complain,\u201d the president said in his 34th new post of the evening session.<\/p>\n In another post, running to 718 words, Trump lamented the recent ruling<\/a> from the US district judge Christopher Cooper, who ordered the administration to take down all physical signage bearing Trump\u2019s name and eliminate any references to a \u201cTrump Kennedy Center\u201d from official materials. Cooper also temporarily blocked the center from closing this summer for a proposed two-year renovation<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cCan you imagine?
