(WJAR) \u2014 <\/span>A Southwest flight allegedly had its wing clipped following a collision with another plane at Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport, according to passengers on the plane.<\/p>\n

On Friday morning, the FAA said the wing of Southwest Airlines Flight 3515 made contact with the tail of Southwest Airlines Flight 3409 as it pushed back onto the taxiway at T.F. Green around 10:45 p.m. <\/p>\n

Both planes returned to their gates and let out their passengers. <\/p>\n

Passengers on the plane told NBC 10 that they had to yell at the cockpit after the plane allegedly collided while taxiing.<\/p>\n

That passenger also says he was moved to a window seat because it was a half-empty plane, and they had already been delayed six hours.<\/p>\n

He later noticed the plane was getting a little close to another, but “didn’t think we would collide.”<\/p>\n

The passenger adds that they just kept driving after the alleged collision, where it took a few people speaking up for somebody to notice what allegedly happened.<\/p>\n

According to FlightAware, the flight was canceled.<\/p>\n

The plane is expected to take off on Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Southwest released the following statement: <\/p>\n

Southwest Airlines is aware of an incident involving two of our aircraft at Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport. We are investigating further and will be thoroughly inspecting the two aircraft. In the meantime, we have reaccommodated the affected Customers. Nothing is more important to Southwest Airlines than the Safety of our Employees and our Customers.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
