OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Strong storms are expected to increase in coverage Thursday morning with a Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect for most of our area, including the metro, through 10 AM.<\/p>\n

Cass County Emergency Management Agency reports power outages and major tree damage in Weeping Water.<\/p>\n

A Tornado Warning was in effect until 6:15 a.m. for Montgomery, Mills, Fremont, Page, and Pottawattamie counties.<\/p>\n

The biggest threat will be large hail though gusty winds, heavy rain and even a brief spin-up tornado will also be possible.<\/p>\n

As the storms depart, the winds will pick up with gusts up to 45 mph possible out of the north late this morning into the early afternoon.<\/p>\n
