Earlier this month news broke that NBC opted to cancel crime drama The Hunting Party<\/em> after just two seasons.<\/p>\n Last month, Jeff Bader, NBCUniversal’s President of Program Planning Strategy, hinted at the end of the show with his blunt comments.<\/p>\n “We’re looking for places where we can grow the network, and that is a time period where we think we can do better,” he said. “Nothing negative about\u00a0Hunting Party<\/em>, but for our linear schedule, we absolutely need to try and do a little bit better there.”<\/p>\n Another notable cancellation from the network was Law & Order: Organized Crime<\/em>.<\/p>\n Its cancellation came as a surprise, after being the eighth most-watched show on the network. It finished ahead<\/a> of The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins<\/em> and The Paper<\/em>, both of which were picked up for another season.<\/p>\n Beloved actor Christopher Meloni\u00a0was forced to say somewhat of a goodbye to Elliot Stabler, the Law & Order<\/em> detective he’s been playing on and off for nearly 30 years.<\/p>\n “I just saw that they announced ‘Organized Crime’ won’t be coming back. I wanted to take this moment to say thank you to the fans who not only helped give the character of Elliot Stabler life and longevity, but for sticking with him and welcoming him back,” Meloni\u00a0said in an Instagram video<\/a>.<\/p>\n “It was a good ride. I had a great time playing him. It was a great ride. Thank you.
