There is a distinct NFL at Wembley vibe to today\u2019s World Cup match in Philly, the city\u2019s fourth, as most fans at the game are wearing their favourite team\u2019s shirt just… because. <\/p>\n
On my subway carriage, I saw fans \u201crepresenting\u201d Arsenal, Manchester United, USA, Cameroon, England, Shamrock Rovers, Philadelphia Union, Argentina, France, Brazil, Poland, Philadelphia Eagles and a smattering of today\u2019s actual teams, Curacao<\/strong> and Ivory Coast.<\/strong> <\/p>\n While crossing the parking lot to the stadium, I did meet some bonafide Ivory Coast fans: Michael, John and Omar. They have come down from Montreal for the game and \u2014 don\u2019t tell anyone else \u2014 got their tickets for free from a relative with a contact at the Ivorian Football Federation.
