Jason Williams abruptly stops video series around daughter’s College World Series run
Jason Williams won’t be documenting the end of his daughter’s College World Series run.
Williams, a former NBA player from 1998-2011, was being filmed by Barstool Sports during his daughter Mia Williams’ run with Texas Tech.

However, he abruptly stopped the video series on Tuesday night and said he won’t be attending anymore games after complaints.
“I ain’t going to be at the games this weekend – this has been too much bulls–t going on,” Williams said in a video that was purpotedly posted then deleted on X.
“People thinking that I’m trying to make this s–t about me. It ain’t about me man. It’s about these girls — let them do their thing, they’re the ones out there playing the games. That’s how I’ve cheered, that’s how I’ve always cheered and that’s how I’ll continue to cheer when I’m at games.”

Over the last week, Williams and Barstool’s Tate Moore have spent significant time together watching Mia play in the Women’s College World Series while creating social media content.

When a young Mississippi State fan brought a Williams Sacramento Kings jersey to the team’s May 28 clash with Texas Tech, Tate filmed Williams signing it.
When Mia hit a walkoff home run against Alabama on Monday, Tate filmed Jason’s raucous celebration.
Williams ending his video series comes just a week after he was ejected from the stadium during his daughter’s Super Regional tilt against Florida last weekend. He was asked to leave due to yelling at Florida’s dugout, and he sarcastically did the Gator chomp.

Texas Tech continues CWS play Wednesday against Texas in a best-of three series after taking care of Alabama on Monday. It’s the second straight season of the Texas foes facing off in Oklahoma City for a title, and the Red Raiders hope to get revenge after their loss last year.

For Williams, while he won’t be attending games in-person, he said he’ll be watching them from home and cheering as loud as he was when he was in-person.
