Cody Cortland Darling Obituary June 9, 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Cody Cortland Darling on June 9, 2026, at the age of 37.

Born in Layton, Utah, on July 6, 1988, Cody was the beloved son of June DellaSilva and the late Cortland Darling. He was lovingly raised by Paul DellaSilva and was a devoted brother to Brandon, Kasey, and Timothy.

Cody loved the outdoors and spent much of his life hunting, fishing, camping, and enjoying adventures with family and friends. He especially enjoyed deer hunting, ice fishing, and working on anything with an engine. He took pride in his Polaris General, his SnowDog for ice-fishing trips, his customized lawn mower, and the homemade go-cart he built himself.

He also shared a special bond with his beloved husky, Aurora.

Those who knew Cody will remember his quick wit, honesty, suborn determination, and generous heart. He was outspoken, hardworking, fiercely loyal, and always willing to help someone in need. His sense of humor and larger-than-life personality left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Though his life ended far too soon, Cody leaves behind countless memories and will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 6, 2026, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the home of his mother, June DellaSilva, 258 South 3000 West, Syracuse, Utah 84075.
