National Weather Service extends flood watch through Tuesday morning
Update 4 p.m. Monday The National Weather Service has extended the flood watch through Tuesday morning. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for most of the Mountain State for Monday.

Meteorologists said heavy rain could create excessive runoff that may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
The watch covers all counties from Marion to Mercer west to the state line and east to the state line.
The northern and eastern panhandles are not included in the watch.
