Casey Mize leaves Tigers’ game in fourth inning with apparent injury

Detroit ā Casey Mize left the game Wednesday after four strong innings.
He had six strikeouts through those four innings, but after retiring Angels Wade Meckler on a long fly out to center, he walked slowly back to the dugout. He was shown talking to trainers and walked down the tunnel toward the Tigersā clubhouse.
Drew Anderson was warming hastily.
This was Mizeās third start back after missing three weeks with a groin strain. Heād allowed just two runs in 16.2 innings since his return.
