Multiple roads closed in Verona due to storm damage | News

VERONA, Wis. — Verona police announced multiple road closures Wednesday after severe weather rolled through the area.

Gilman Street and North Jefferson Street were completely impassable because of downed trees. Police said there were also hazards on: 

• North Franklin St.
• North Shuman St.
• East Harriett St.
• West Harriett St.
• Westlawn Ave.
• South Nine Mound Rd.

Severe weather caused damage throughout southern Wisconsin Wednesday afternoon and knocked out power to thousands of people across the state.
