Storm damage reported in parts of CNY due to severe thunderstorms Thursday
SYRACUSE, N.Y. — It was a very active afternoon and early evening in central New York with severe thunderstorms impacting many areas even Onondaga County and the city of Syracuse for a brief time.
While most locations simply saw pouring rain, thunder, lightning and gusty winds, others unfortunately received some damage.
Here’s the big map of damage reports so far:

Close to Syracuse in Onondaga County here’s at least one report of damage so far:
STORM DAMAGE ONONDAGA COUNTY THURSDAY
Down south of Syracuse in Cortland County there was at least one report of damage:

Out to the west before the storms arrived in Syracuse many locations across the Finger Lakes had trees knocked down due to damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph:
STORM DAMAGE ONTARIO AND YATES COUNTIES THURSDAY
Across parts of Ontario and Yates counties some trees and utility poles also came down here, some of which blocked roadways.

Just on the edge of our viewing area there were a few more reports near Tompkins County:
