OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Strong storms are expected to increase in coverage Thursday morning with a Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect for most of our area, including the metro, through 10 AM.

Cass County Emergency Management Agency reports power outages and major tree damage in Weeping Water.

A Tornado Warning was in effect until 6:15 a.m. for Montgomery, Mills, Fremont, Page, and Pottawattamie counties.

The biggest threat will be large hail though gusty winds, heavy rain and even a brief spin-up tornado will also be possible.

As the storms depart, the winds will pick up with gusts up to 45 mph possible out of the north late this morning into the early afternoon.
