Meg Stalter Sings ‘Prettiest Girl in America’ at 2026 Culture Awards
The comedian and Hacks star performed her hilariously snotty debut single at Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers’ annual Las Culturistas bash
Meg Stalter infiltrated the 2026 Las Culturistas Culture Awards with a performance of her debut single, āPrettiest Girl in America.āĀ
The actress and comedian took over the show with an introduction that saw her setting off an alarm that interrupted hosts Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers: āAttention all audience members,ā the alert declared, āthere have been reports of someone breaking into the pop scene, as well as into this very building. Eyewitnesses have described the suspect as dangerously pretty. Please remain calm.ā
Stalter then declared, āPlay the track, and no one gets hurt,ā before stomping down the aisle with a troupe of backup dancers and singing the hilariously snotty lyrics: āBut no one can see past my smile/My pain goes for miles and miles/Sometimes I wish I was a server or barista/But instead/Iām the prettiest girl in America.āĀ
The performance ended with Stalter beating up her backup dancers, and Yang and Rogers returning to the stage to arrest the comedian for ābeing too pretty!āĀ
Stalterās āPrettiest Girl in Americaā was one of of the five songs nominated for the Culture Award for Record of the Year ā and the only nominee to actually have been released in the year since the 2025 Culture Awards. The only other semi-recent nominee was Addison Raeās āFame Is a Gun,ā released in May of last year, while the others were all from the early-2000s: t.A.T.u.ās āAll the Things She Said,ā Mandy Mooreās āOnly Home,ā and the PokĆ©mon theme song.Ā
Stalter, whoās best known for her work on Hacks and Lena Dunhamās Too Much, released āPrettiest Girl in Americaā in May. The track is set to appear on her debut album, Crave, which doesnāt have a release date yet, but is expected to arrive later this summer.Ā
