Auburn Baseball Live: Regional Day 3 vs. UCF (5:06 p.m.)

Looking to stay alive in regional play, the Auburn Tigers (39-20) take on the UCF Knights (32-22) at 2 p.m. Sunday in a game that can be seen on ESPN2. The winner advances to face Milwaukee at 7 p.m. in the first of two possible games against the Panthers.

Auburn will send redshirt sophomore RHP Alex Petrovic to the mound while UCF will counter with RHP Roman Kimball. This season Petrovic is 9-2 with an ERA of 3.21. In 15 starts he has allowed 29 earned runs in 81.1 innings while striking out 81 and walking just 19.

Kimball will be making his sixth start of the season and 14th of his career. Starting his career at Notre Dame before transferring to South Carolina, Kimball is 1-1 on the season with an ERA of 5.52. In 29.1 innings this season he has allowed 18 earned runs and struck out 29 batters with 15 walks. Just twice this season has he pitched at least 4.0 innings with 5.0 innings against Bethune-Cookman his longest outing of the year.
